A large deposit of gold and silver have been discovered in the Western Territories and more specifically Colorado, Nevada, and California. The town of San Francisco has largely benefited from the findings increasing its population to 15,000 from a meager 200 in 1846 and continues to expand. These deposits of gold and silver were discovered by James W. Marshall on January 24, 1848 in Suter’s HIll in California. This is a great opportunity for the common man of America to make a profit off of a grand opportunity.
